The Tritone Youth Orchestra, directed by Zac Lavender, brings together highly dedicated local, middle and high school music students, amateur adult musicians and local freelance professionals to perform original arrangements of great music by and for our community. The orchestra (composed of strings, guitars, keys, winds, percussion and vocals) also showcases well known professional guest soloists and accomplished student soloists. Tritone Youth Orchestra includes members of the Community, Tritone Chamber Orchestra and North Atlanta Young Musicians Association and creatively explores emotive music traversing genres and bringing people together.
The Tritone Youth Orchestra, founded by Music By Tritone in 2021, seeks to serve as a bridge and resource for the community. Music By Tritone is a family owned music school located in Roswell, Alpharetta and Johns Creek Georgia. Proudly offering private lessons for over 21 years, the school teaches piano, violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, ukulele, drums, voice, songwriting, composition and audio recording.
Music By Tritone organizes ensembles and bands of all genres and for all levels and age groups and also provides services for music educators. MBT works with over a dozen school programs and orchestras in North Fulton and East Cobb, Georgia.
Members of the Tritone Youth Orchestra include the top students and professional performers in the state. Student participants have also participated in Georgia All State, The National Youth Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra, Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra and have gone on to music conservatories and top music programs in the country.
